Harley Bikes: Still the Best Performance for the Price
Think your Harley is expensive? These nine motorcycles are the most expensive production bikes in the world.
The prices of Harley Davidson motorcycles have been going up, up and up in recent times, along with pretty much everything else in the world.
The most expensive HD is the CVO Road Glide Limited anniversary model at $51,999. But, next to the bikes on this list, that’s peanuts.
Some of the nine motorcycles here you can ride on the street, some you can’t. They all share one trait though; you should have a fat financial portfolio instead of just a slim wallet to own one. Indeed, these are the most expensive production bikes in the world right now.
Kawasaki Ninja H2 R $57,500
The Ninja needs no introduction. It’s one of the most popular bikes ever made. This limited production, supercharged model “represents the unbridled pinnacle of Kawasaki engineering, with astonishing acceleration and mind-bending top speed suitable only for the track” according to its makers.
The H2 R is the most powerful and expensive Ninja ever built. But, this one is not street legal.
Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini $68,000
The Streetfighter V4 combines two of the most ritzy and exclusive names in the world in Ducati and Lamborghini so you know it’s going to be fast as greased lighting and you know it’s going to be expensive as hell.
Like other bikes on this list, production is limited.and 63 of the 630 made will be reserved for those who already own a Lamborghini. Nice perk.
Boss Hoss Super Sport 496 $69,173
If you ever go to motorcycle festivals like Daytona or Sturgis, chances are you’ve seen a few of these cruising around. They look like Harley Davidson’s bigger, stronger, meaner older brother.
That massive V8 engine churns out 445 HP and 445 lb/ft of torque. You never see a little weasel-looking guy on a Boss Hoss; at the least you know he has a bulging wallet.
Bimota TESI H2 $70,370
This stunning-looking motorcycle combines the 228 HP engine from the Kawasaki H2 with legendary Italian style and Bimota’s innovative chassis designs.
The reviewer for Cycle World rode it and said “…the power on tap was almost too much, the acceleration fierce enough to punch the air from a rider’s lungs.”
Arch Motorcycle KRGT-1 $85,000
Arch Motorcycles is an American company founded by actor Keanu Reeves and his buddy, Gard Hollinger.
They call the KRGT-1 a “performance cruiser,” though it doesn’t really look like a cruiser. It is powered by a S&S 124 V twin engine and it goes through corners like a rocket through the stratosphere.
Indian Challenger RR King of the Baggers $92,229
Harley Davidson fans, particularly those who are also racing fans, probably know all about this bike through the King of the Bagger race series.
It’s the same bike Tyler O’Hara rides for Indian in its competition with the Motor Company. It’s a race-tuned bagger that pumps out at least 170 horsepower and no, you cannot ride it on the street.
Ducati Superleggera V4 $100,000
Ducati calls the Superleggera the most “exclusive” Ducati ever produced. That’s saying a lot.
The company also claims it is the only motorcycle in the world with a carbon fiber frame, swingarm and rims with an “unbeatable power/weight ratio of 1.54 hp/kg.”
Arch 1s $128,000
Keanu is back with an even more powerful and more expensive bike. Arch followers waited a long time for this bike and they aren’t disappointed.
The Arch 1S is always in the running when lists are made of fastest American-made cruisers. Dripping with premium components, the S1 is powered by a humongous air-cooled, V-twin S&S engine.
“The entire machine is magnificent, and the 1s delivers on the promise demanded of its lofty price tag,” says Rider Magazine in a review.
Combat Motors Wraith $165,000
I love the fact this bike, with its 2,163 cc, S&S V-twin engine rolls with an old-school, five-speed transmission.
Like Keanu Reeve‘s bikes, the Wraith is called a performance cruiser, but it’s much more futuristic-looking, though the machines sports some of the same high-tech components.
