Test-Driving a U.S. Army Harley-Davidson Motorcycle from 1942
When to comes to old school Harley-Davidson motorcycles, there’s really a broad year range that one could be referring to. Nowadays, classic rides could be anything from the 1980s and before. However, it’s rare that we see anything older than the 1970s, at least on a semi-regular basis. In fact, seeing something that old might even be a rarity at shows. Nonetheless, such a hog was found in Hungary, and it seems to be in immaculate condition.
The ride is a U.S. Army Harley-Davidson motorcycle from 1942. Painted in flat olive green and accented with a red cross sticker on the sidecar, it seems to be a wonderful restoration of the real thing. In today’s video, we get to see a test-drive of this amazing and rare bike. Though the drive itself isn’t all that impressive (sorry, no wheelies here!), it doesn’t need to be. What’s amazing isn’t the drive itself, but instead the fact that a nearly 74-year old Harley-Davidson motorcycle is actually alive and driving!
