When the name Steve McQueen comes up, people either associate him with the 1968 Ford GT 390 Fastback he made famous in Bullitt, his love of motor racing, or his passion for motorcycles. He is just the quintessential guy’s guy. He was a rough and tumble dude that lived a life many of us dream of living. Fast cars, awesome bikes, and lovely women. With that, his love of motorcycles was perhaps one of the biggest driving factors in his life.

When McQueen passed away, he left his collection of over 250 motorcycles to his family. 250 motorcycles, just think about that for a second, that number is just absolutely ridiculous. According to MCN, a new biopic is getting ready to start shooting soon, with Ryan Gosling possibly playing McQueen.

With that in mind, MCN did a brief history on some of McQueen’s motorcycles, including a 1946 Indian Chief, of which he had many, a few BSAs, along with a couple Triumphs, and Husqvarna. This though, as stated above, only represents a fraction of his total collection. Suffice it to say, McQueen was a motorcycle god when it comes to collections and riding ability. I just wish he would have been alive today so I could have met him.

Head on over to MCN to see the full rundown on his bikes.
