Rod Squad’s Jaguar Rod Roars Into Spotlight as a Gorgeous Custom V-Rod
Rod Squad’s Jaguar Rod sounds like a feral jungle cat courtesy of its speed demon exhaust system.
There’s no denying the fact that Deutschland is just as much the land of Harleys as the United States. We have discussed many German outfits and their breathtaking reproductions of popular Harley-Davidson models in recent months. Rod squad is one such custom bike atelier. Like most German bike builders, this Konigswalde shop also has a soft spot for defunct Harley nameplates, especially the V-Rod. The bike seen here is called the Jaguar Rod.
This feline creation flaunts a beautiful green paint job. It is unclear why Rod Squad assigned this particular moniker to its creation. However, we reckon it might be because Jaguar was responsible for popularising the British racing green color in motorsports. The color itself is called “pearl effect green lacquer,” and it is offset by black and chrome accents.
The custom motorbike gets a slew of upgrades. Jaguar Rod rides on a pair of Rick’s Motorcycles wheels, but the rear end sits on a 240 mm wide rim. The custom bike outfit also installed an Arnott Airride suspension setup which allows the Jaguar Rod to sit low on the road. A speed demon exhaust system ensures that this bike can do justice to its name and sound like a feral jungle cat.
A drag bar with internally routed cables is part of the Jaguar Rod ensemble. So far, we do not have any information regarding the pricing of the custom motorcycle.
Rod Squad’s custom offering employs a disc brake setup for the stopping power, which is also a Rick’s Motorcycles product. The custom bike shop also successfully carried out a 26 teeth drive wheel conversion. Furthermore, the bike gets a custom airbox cover which comes equipped with an integrated speedometer.
Jaguar Rod also ditches its stock Harley-Davidson blinkers in favor of Kellerman replacements. The pièce de résistance of Jaguar Rod’s front end is its gorgeous Rizoma headlight. The shop also powder coated and painted several other parts of the motorcycle, including the frame, which remains unmodified. Lastly, a drag bar with internally routed cables along with a side license plate holder completes the Jaguar Rod ensemble.
Prices of Harley Davidson V-Rods started at around $6000 in the pre-owned market. However, like many other custom bike outfits, Rod Squad has not released any information regarding the pricing of Jaguar Rod.
