Texas Harley Riders Planning World Record Parade
With Adam Sandoval on board, ‘Bring it Home’ will attempt to snag the Guinness World Record for largest motorcycle parade on Oct. 5.
This fall is a perfect time to head to Paris…Texas, that is. Paris Harley-Davidson is sponsoring “Bring it Home 2019.” Heavyweight Harley rider and popular vlogger Adam Sandoval (pictured below) is joining in the Bring it Home mission: To form the largest parade of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. And the best part is that it isn’t just a cool experience, it is also for a great cause.
The parade will kick off on October 5, but this is a Harley gathering, after all. Which means there will be a fairly epic party involved, before and after.
The number of Harleys to beat is 2,404, currently held by Patras, Greece. This is the second attempt by Paris H-D, last years turnout was amazing, just just fell short. Of course, the folks from Guinness World Record will be there to officiate.
Of course, the Harley community is known for its community work, so this is more than just a world record attempt. The Bring it Home parade will help raise money for Motorcycle Missions, a nonprofit dedicated to helping first responders with with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD.) All of the money from the cost of bike registration ($15 per bike) will be donated to Motorcycle Missions. Organizers hope to raise $45,000 for this very worthy cause.
Sandoval’s video outlines the route as well as all the other activities. The official kick-off party starts on October 3 and 4. And on October 4, you can join Sandoval at the K River Campground for what he describes as “food, beverages, music, and mayhem.”
The parade itself is a three mile route, and if you are in the area, this is definitely an event to check out. There will be raging after parties, especially if 2019 is the year that the U.S. grabs the record and bragging rights. To give you a taste, here’s a little from last year’s Bring it Home Parade.
