The U.S. Navy officially commissioned its fifth Littoral Combat Ship, the USS Milwaukee, this past weekend, and to celebrate, Lockheed Martin and Harley-Davidson collaborated to build a one-off Navy-themed Softail Slim S.

The motorcycle was crafted by Chief Harley-Davidson Stylist Ray Drea. He apparently drew inspiration from the Wisconsin yard where Lockheed builds the ships and wanted to honor the WWII-era Harley-Davidsons, as well.

There are many cues on the $18,000 bike that call back to the LCS. The paint is the same battleship gray, the black anodized billet intake is modeled after the ship’s speaker system, and there are official USN and LCS logo badging. The bike will be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to service men and women.

“We wanted to do something special for the occasion and support the families of our military men and women who sacrifice so much to protect our freedoms,” said Stephanie C. Hill, Lockheed Martin vice president of Ship & Aviation Systems. “We’re excited to collaborate with Milwaukee’s own Harley-Davidson, a company that has been fulfilling dreams of personal freedom for over 100 years.”

Powering this puppy is the Screamin’ Eagle air-cooled twin-cam 110B v-twin. ‘Murcuh.

*whispers* PS, if you’re in the U.S. military, you can go snatch up the free riding academy it’s offering to y’all right now.
