Yesterday we showed a custom Street 750 from India. Today we share one form Melbourne Australia and the folks at Kustom Kommune.

Kustom Kommune is exactly as the name implies, a custom communal garage.

We all know the Street 500 and 750 are a completely different animal for Harley-Davidson. Some hate them simply for being liquid cooled, others think they are too metric, and some folks like them. We happen to like them and particularly the amount of customization that they are already showing is intriguing.

Harley has been approaching custom motorcycle builders with showroom stock Street 750s and giving them free reign to create whatever their devious little minds can concoct. Australian HD went to the guys at Kustom Kommune in Melbourne with a brand new never opened Street 750 and let them take a crack at creating their vision.

The guys at Kustom Kommune took a look at the 750 cc displacement, the overall stance, and style and immediately decided on a throwback look honoring the XR750. Who can blame them, the XR750 is one of the most iconic Harley Davidson motorcycles of all time.

Like a lot of customs the build has a significant number of one off parts, major modification, and paint that will blow you away. The entire tail of the motorcycle was removed: replaced with a twin shock suspension, exactly like the XR 750, and the front forks were removed and replaced with a set of USD forks. While those are not like the original they definitely add a lot of performance for the street. They ditched the original fuel tank, seat and body work and replaced with them handmade, lightweight aluminum units with custom artwork by KDS Designs.

New 19″ wheels were and knobby tires were spooned on. They added twin disks the front end to add some additional woah along with the handling upgrade. The belt drive was left in place, the XR750 would be chain, to leave some of the original bike. The exhaust is half original and half custom. The original header was used and a new muffler slipped on the back. Clearly some differences can be seen from the original below, but that’s what “inspired by”means.
