JVB-Moto’s Livewire-based Silent Alarm Might Soon Enter Production

JVB-Moto Silent Alarm might soon enter production. The bike will get feature an updated design and will probably be produced in limited numbers.

Harley Davidson has a proud heritage that is also celebrated by custom shops around the world. We’ve come across many exciting custom-built offerings, but along with the Milwaukee-based brand, the custom-bike industry is also embracing electrification. German custom-bike shop- JVB-Moto– has announced that it will produce a limited number of custom-built bikes based on the Harley-Davidson Livewire.

Back in June, we reported that Harley enlisted the services of – JVB-Moto to build a Cyberpunk-esque signature, which could be put into production. Now, the German bike outfit has confirmed that its Silent Alarm nameplate will be the world’s first custom-built range of battery-powered Harley-Davidsons. Silent Alarm is based on Livewire, which was introduced a couple of years ago.

Instead of loud V-twins, Livewire is powered by a 15.5 kWh battery pack. The motorcycle did not hit the right spot in the market. JVB-Moto is a famed European custom shop run by Jens vom Brauck. Even though the Silent Alarm is making headlines all over the world, Jens finds that electric bikes may not be the future. “I understand all the discussions about eco-friendliness and range, and I think it’s complicated and not yet perfect,” said Brauck.

Despite his feelings, Brauck revealed that it was “fun” to customize a Livewire. Essentially, Silent Alarm is a re-stylized Livewire. Jens wanted the final; product to be reproducible and road legal in Europe. The motorcycle gets a plethora of aftermarket add-ons, including the fenders, the tail section, and the alloy wheels. Jens mostly focused on the bodywork of the motorcycle and added a new fuel tank, which is carbon fiber. In addition to the seat, the small air scoops under the tank are also new.

The custom Harley-Davidson Livewire is fitted with a LED headlight, a custom-built nacelle, custom risers that grip the complex stock dashboard, Performance Machine grips, and a Pro Brake lever (upgraded front stopper). The powertrain of the bike remains unchanged. The Revelation electric motor paired with the battery pack produces an output of 105 HP and offers 146 miles (235km) of range.

The cream blue shade on the custom Livewire makes it even more noteworthy. Although a stock Livewire would set you back $30,000, there’s no word on the pricing of JVB-Moto’s Silent Alarm.
