Whether you’re planning on dropping a grand on the new iPhone or simply keeping your current device, these mounts provide all the protection you need.

As smartphone technology continues to advance at a rapid rate, so do the prices of smartphones. And if you thought that paying $600 to $700 for a shiny new phone was enough, Apple busted through another plateau by announcing that the forthcoming iPhone X is going to set you back a cool thousand bucks. So, it goes without saying that when you invest that kind of dough in a phone, you want it to stay in one piece. And for motorcyclists, the quality and craftsmanship of a bike mount for mobile devices makes all the difference when it comes to the fate of your phone.

Fortunately, forward-thinking companies like Rokform are already hard at work designing motorcycle mounts for the iPhone X. Crafted from tough, aircraft-grade aluminum, all of the SoCal company’s mounts are designed to take a good deal of punishment. As a bonus, they also look pretty darn awesome. Rokform’s mounts sport a modern industrial look that is light years beyond that old pink case with kittens on it that you used to have. Don’t worry, we’re not here to judge.

Rokform mounts also use what they call “RokLock” and magnetic technology to keep your pricey iPhone in place. They’re also pretty easy to install, and unobtrusive once mounted. So, your new phone won’t get in the way of your bike’s controls. If you’re still skeptical, just check out this video of stunt rider Tony Carbajal testing one out.

Rokform is currently taking pre-orders for the iPhone X Pro Series Motorcycle Handlebar Mount Kit. They expect to ship the new kit by November 3. It comes with a case, mount, and safety lanyard — just in case you want to live out your Evel Knievel dreams, of course. And if you plan on hanging on to your current iPhone rather than springing for a new one, Rokform already stocks mounts for the iPhone 8 and its predecessors, which run around $100 to $150.
