First Harley-Davidson-Themed Cafe Opens in Toronto
Some lucky folks from Canada are getting to enjoy the recent opening of the very first Harley-Davidson-themed cafe in downtown Toronto.
In what seems to be a strategic marking move on behalf of the motorcycle manufacturer, this one-of-a-kind venue will play a key role in luring young and urban-oriented customers that may be considering owning a motorcycle as their only means of transportation.
Toronto, just like other metropoles around the world, suffers from congestion and parking issues that force many city-dwellers to rely on public transport and ditch car ownership as a whole. That being said, most of these young, city-loving folk want to adventure on the weekends, as well as to feel part of something. What a better way to kill two birds with one stone than to buy a Harley-Davidson. It’s all gotta start somewhere, and it’ll be at the small showroom inside the hip Harley cafe.
“We feel there is a resurgence of urban riding culture,” says Prakash, whose new job involves building brand awareness across Canada, particularly in urban centers. “It’s about creating the lifestyle, the culture and the community, they see it as recreational but also functional because they have much better mobility in traffic here,” he notes.
Like most iconic brands across the globe, luring the quite different younger generations is key to their profitability and survival, and clearly Harley-Davidson gets that.
