Harley-Davidson Wants Some Taco Action

Tacos & Harleys doesn’t sound too bad, does it? In fact, it sounds like a ton of fun. But that’s not the kind of taco action we’re talking about, it’s a little more formal.

Effective immediately, the Harley-Davidson board of directors appointed two new individuals whom the motorcycle manufacturer hopes will bring fresh ideas, new blood and a much needed revitalization to the company.

Brian Niccol, CEO of Taco Bell Corp., and Maryrose Sylvester, president and CEO of General Electric Co. have were elected into a board of directors that’s hungry for innovation, but also looking to remain true to its core values and business practices. Sylvester from GE has held many positions in his 28 year tenure with the company, and Niccol has led the empire of YUM brands since 2015.

“Maryrose and Brian each lead innovative companies with strong brand recognition in a very dynamic marketplace,” said Michael Cave, non-executive chairman for Harley-Davidson (NYSE: HOG). “We believe they will bring great insight and energy to Harley-Davidson.”

Best of of luck!
