H-D Dealership Owner Proclaims Dyna Street Bob a Great Step Up

Experienced riders seem to get bored with the Sportster and Iron 883, making the Dyna Street Bob a fitting two-wheeler.

Finding the perfect motorcycle can be a daunting task. One needs to take performance, type of riding, appearance, and money into consideration, making it nearly impossible to get onto a bike that fits the bill. Matt Laidlaw, a Harley-Davidson enthusiast and shop owner, recently reviewed the Dyna Street Bob and found it to be a great bike for experienced riders that have grown out of their Sportsters or Iron 883s.

The video review, above, starts at the 14-minute mark after a lengthy walk around portion, as well as a thorough review of the motorcycle’s specs with the reviewer claiming that riders with experience looking to get a taste of the Harley-Davidson world should look at the Dyna Street Bob.

Laidlaw claims that newer riders usually come into his shop and get an Iron 883 or a Sportster Forty-Eight and grow out of them. And the Dyna is an ideal bike for more experienced riders because of its power. “The Dyna Street Bob is a great bike that has an extremely good power-to-weight ratio,” says Laidlaw. Its air-cooled, Twin Cam 103 motor not only provides the bike with an excellent amount of oomph, but it also makes it “the bike with the most value,” claims the reviewer.

The styling, which Matt Laidlaw, claims will appeal to a variety of different riders, because it is quintessential Harley. “This thing is all about just raw, basic Harley-Davidson.” The feeling and the sound, two of the most important aspects of a motorcycle can be found in the Dyna Street Bob. To put it shortly, “You have the heart and sole of Harley-Davidson.”

While the bike accelerates vigorously, fits the bill as a stereotypical Harley, and rides well in the city, it’s seat and shocks make for a bumpy ride on the highway. “But I wouldn’t be able to go very far on a freeway that’s tore up, because this suspension, coupled with this seat, just does not handle well at high speeds,” claims Laidlaw.

The Harley-Davidson Dyna Street Bob, as the video review points out is a winner for riders looking for something that just oozes Harley. For those looking for a bike that they can grow old with, the Dyna Street Bob perfectly fits the bill.
