Harley-Davidson to Race at the Flat-Track X Games
Harley-Davidson is headed to the flat-track portion of the X Games for the second year in a row, and it’s bringing its brand-spanking new flat-track racer.
The top motorcycle riders from around the world will be going head to head on the tricky half-mile flat-track at the Circuit of the Americas. Harley-Davidson isn’t only present as a competitor, but also as a headlining sponsor for the X Games Austin, which will attract hundreds of thousands of fans to the highly versatile racing complex in the outskirts of the Texan city.
“Motorcycle flat track racing is arguably the original action sport,” said Dino Bernacchi, Harley-Davidson U.S. Marketing Director.
“The X Games provides a perfect showcase for this exhilarating motorsport and the skill and tremendous courage of these racer-athletes. Harley-Davidson is excited to be kicking off X Games Austin with the thrilling Harley-Davidson Flat-Track race. Then all weekend long, we will have a huge presence at X Games as we share our passion for competition and the freedom of the open road. Fans will want to be sure to check out our all-new XG750R flat track motorcycle, our first new flat tracker in over 40 years!”
As we reported before, Harley’s new XG750R flat-track racer ditched the old frame and technology from the X750R which had been on duty for quite a few decades. Harley hopes this new generation machine will continue their motorcycle dominance they’ve enjoyed so far this year.
Good luck, Harley!
