Harley-Davidson Looks Stunning in Shiny Blue and 24K Gold

Take a look at ‘Ilektra,’ a 24K gold-accented exotic with killer paintwork from custom bike maker SK-Brush.

The Germans have a soft spot for custom-made Harleys. We recently reported that Hamminkeln-based custom bike outfit, Thunderbike expanded its grand touring range with a $21,000 immaculately designed FXDR-based GT-4 offering. This time around, we will take a look at a striking contraption called Ilektra from SK-Brush, which can steal the spotlight from some of the most exotic bikes on-road thanks to its vibrant paint job.

SK-Brush also decided to use an FXDR for its creation even though the bike’s blue flakes paint job is something that we’ve never seen before. Coincidentally, a not-so-similar Arctic Blast paint job was seen on the newest installment of Harley’s Street Glide Special nameplate, which made its debut earlier this month at the Sturgis Motorcycle rally.

The motorcycle manufacturer announced that it will only produce 500 examples of this limited edition 2021 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special. This makes Arctic Blast a very special paint option, and if that color inspired the hue of this hand-done paint job on SK-Brush’s Ilektra, then this motorcycle is even more unique.

Ilektra is SK-Brush’s newest masterpiece and the vivid blue paint job of this custom FXDR is offset by gorgeous pinstripes and gold-plated surfaces. The motorcycle was designed and painted to meet the customer’s exact specifications, and almost everything on the bike is custom-made, including the vinyl dress and the overall shape.

The forks, wheels, fuel tank, and handlebars have gold plated accents. SK-Brush even gave the fuel tank and the seat a honeycomb design. The pinstripes were also used to further accentuate the Ilektra badges on the sides of the fuel tank. Although the craftsmanship is distinctive, the design might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

While the project’s price tag remains undisclosed, it is safe to assume it cost somebody a hefty sum considering that airbrush customs aren’t cheap. Not to forget, SK-Brush used 24K gold to plate many panels. SK-Brush is a renowned German shop, which is dedicated to creating extraordinary airbrush designs. The company prides itself in executing artwork that pushes one’s imagination to its absolute limit, and Ilektra is a testament to the company’s creative prowess.
