Harley-Davidson Breakout Looks Menacing In Matte Black

Bad Boy Customs’ Breakout Black Matt 280 is a sinister ride and a perfect example of the company’s visionary design approach.

Earlier in the month, we reported on No limit Custom’s Ferrari-inspired Breakout Enzo Softail, which perfectly demonstrated the creative process of German custom bike outfits. Bad Boy Customs is also a world-renowned German atelier that shares No limit Custom’s liking for Harley-Davidson’s Breakout nameplate. Much like No Limit Custom, this German garage is also famous for its attention to detail, and the company’s Black Matt 280 offering is a perfect example of Bad Boy Customs’ visionary design approach

Like the Enzo Softail, Black Matt 280 is also based on Milwaukee-based bike manufacturer’s Breakout model, but Bad Boy Customs’ creation sports a more menacing paint job. The custom bike flaunts a murdered-out black color scheme, which is the main focus of the entire ensemble. The Wiesbaden, Germany-based company tastefully employs various shades of black to direct attention towards the different styling elements of the motorcycle.

Almost every panel on the motorcycle is custom-made. The company swapped the stock front fender for a much shorter replacement and used steel to fabricate the new rear fender. Bad Boy Customs fabricated both front and rear fenders from scratch. The bike now rides on a much wider rear wheel and uses Bad Boy Customs’ BBC 10 X 18 skull brake discs for both front and rear wheels.

An aftermarket air ride suspension setup is responsible for Breakout Black Matt 280’s new low-riding stance. The German bike builder also ditched Harley-Davidson’s factory Breakout exhaust and installed its very own BBC 111 black ceramic coated exhaust system. The bike gets a new saddle that is wrapped in diamond pattern black leather, which complements the motorcycle’s paint job.

Bad Boy Customs’ creation also gets BBC 081 headlight and CNC milled side mirrors. The matte black paint scheme also helps the bike’s custom graphics stand out. Gray graphics are used for badging and lettering that adorn Breakout Black Matt 280’s tank and rear fender. The company has not revealed the pricing of its sinister offering, and even with upgrades like a Billet air cleaner, Bad Boy Customs has not reported any improvement in the bike’s performance.
