Harley Bagger Demonstrates Relaxed Way to Ride
Cruising down the highway, stretched out on your Harley with your feet up probably isn’t the safest way to ride. But it is pretty entertaining to watch.
We’ve seen all manners of impressive Harley riding skills lately. From wheelies to straight up canyon carving to beating sport bikes on the track. All of which proves an important point. Sometimes, rider skill matters more than what you’re riding. But this latest video demonstrates a more, shall we say, relaxed way of riding a Harley. And considering the fact that it’s done on a comfy bagger, we’d say it kinda makes sense.
The scene was captured on video by Monica Rochefort just east of New Orleans on I-10. And obviously, she’s a little shocked by what she sees. Which is a man just laying back and enjoying an afternoon cruise down the highway on his Harley. Granted, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen somebody cruising along with no hands. But it appears that this guy is taking the term “cruise control” a bit too far.
The best part is yet to come, however. Once the biker realizes he’s being filmed, he begins to put on a bit of a show for Rochefort. With a big ol’ smile on his face, he leans back and proceeds to change lanes with a whole lot of animation. And what appears to be paddling. Then, our obviously confident rider exits the highway like an old school showman exits, stage left.
Obviously, this isn’t the safest way to ride a Harley. In the split second our show off was completely laying back, he could have hit a pothole or obstacle and this video would have turned out much differently. But thankfully that didn’t happen, and we can instead laugh at his antics. And thanks to an observant passer-by, so can the rest of the world.
