H-D Forums Women’s Holiday Gear Guide 2019

From retro cool to modern style, there’s something for everyone on this list.

Ladies, this one’s for you. In our Men’s Holiday Gear Guide post, we promised to follow up with one for the queens of the road. We consulted some of the coolest women riders we know, and we’ve selected some excellent new gear to spend those holiday gift cards on.

We stand by our helmet choices from the men’s list, and instead focused on jackets, gloves, and boots that we’re sure you’ll love. Without further ado, here are our picks.

Citified Leather Jacket — Harley-Davidson — $525

Looking for something unique and functional, too? This stylish, modern-looking jacket is constructed from durable goatskin. It’s been buffed to a soft, smooth, suede-like grey finish. The back features a subdued “H-D” logo.

It’s safe, too, with lightweight sewn-in body armor patches for the elbows and shoulders, as well as a pocket for a spine protector. The back features a stretch panel and the sleeves are pre-curved for improved comfort and fit. There are zippered side vents, as well as a ventilated liner that make this jacket a great choice year round. Best of all, it’s designed in such a way that wearing a backpack won’t block ventilation.

TCX Blend Boots — RevZilla — $200

These boots have a classic look that’s designed to look good both on and off the bike. However, they’re also designed with comfort and safety in mind. The toe and heel are reinforced, and there is also a leather shifter pad for added durability.

Inside, you’ll find a waterproof liner and a comfortable footbed that’s replaceable if it ever wears down. That’s a good thing, because looking at the tough rubber soles on these boots, you’ll be wearing them for years to come.

Oxford Radley Gloves — RevZilla — $60

These gloves may look like the work gloves your grandparents rode with back in the day, but there’s more than meets the eye. The aniline-dyed leather construction is nicer than anything you’ve ever worn for yard work or gardening, and the double-layer palm will offer superior protection and insulation from vibration.

These gloves also feature external thumb seams, which will help to prevent that all-too-familiar tight feeling. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference when it comes to rider comfort. They’re offered in black, brown, and tan to match your look.

First Manufacturing Iris Jacket — RevZilla — $280

First Manufacturing has taken the classic motorcycle jacket style and updated it slightly for the 21st century. Most importantly, it’s been designed from the outset to be a women’s jacket.

Still, all of the iconic features are year, from the dual, asymmetrical zippers to the snap-down collar. Despite its cool, vintage look, it’s ventilated like a modern jacket to help you keep cool on those summer rides.

Excursion Quilted Leather Gloves — Harley-Davidson — $70

We love the style of these gloves. Quilted leather just looks cool, and it’s making a comeback with those who dig the aesthetics of the 1970s. Thankfully, these gloves are more than just a pretty face.

The knuckles are designed to stretch for comfort, and there’s a moisture-wicking liner inside to help you keep your cool. Additionally, the thumb and fingers are pre-curved. The padded palms are helpful for reducing felt vibration through the handlebars.

Speed and Strength Spell Bound Women’s Jacket — RevZilla — $180

This clever polymer jacket has a ton of cool features. The hoodie insert can be zipper out and worn separately, while the outer jacket features flow-through ventilation and armor for your elbows, shoulders, and back.

The jacket’s frame is designed to stretch for comfort, and there’s a big pocket in the back to carry necessities like a rain poncho or your insurance and registration. The jacket’s trim is also reflective for safety.

So there you have it — our choices for the best ways to spend those holiday gift cards. Remember, safety and style are always a good investment.
