Drag Surprise: Hildo’s 25 Year-Old Harley Chopper vs Honda CBR1000RR
While I was cruising around on the forum this morning, I stumbled across a thread titled “Looking for Harley vids beating up sporty bikes,” and I just had to check it out. Now, as a guy who is simply grateful to have survived my sport bike years with his spinal cord intact, I have tons of respect for crotch rockets—and all motorcycles.
In all honesty, sport bikes and Harleys are so different, that comparing them in terms of pure speed is just silly. I think IdahoHacker said it best:
“There simply aren’t any Harleys that can beat up sport bikes. However, there also aren’t any Corvettes that can carry more gravel than a dump truck. That is not a failing on the part of the Corvette’s engineers—Corvettes are not engineered to carry gravel.”
But putting all that aside, this video is pretty funny, in that it doesn’t end the way you’d expect. Is the race too short and fundamentally unfair? Yup, I’d have to say it is.
