Does Harley Make the Best Sounding Engine?
If you’re a Harley diehard, then the Screamin’ Eagle Twin Cam 110 engine most likely ranks among your favorite engines. That being said, what is it that makes up a great motorcycle engine? Is it its power, efficiency, reliability, or is it simply the noise it makes?
Well, according to the folks at MCN, it’s a combination of all of those factors, and then some. Sure some legendary brands like Ducati will always own the hearts of many enthusiasts, but what about the others? As with most things, different qualities of particular engines may appeal to different folks. Surprisingly enough, no Harley-Davidson motorcycles ranked among this top six.
It’s important to keep in mind that the motorcycles featured on this video all fulfill a different purpose, so judging them by how good they sound isn’t particularly fair, but in the end it’s the noise that will make heads turn, right?
I’m a big fan of the KTM 690 Duke, but I’ve got to admit that a Harley should’ve been featured! What do you think?
