What Does the Davidson Family Think of the Discovery Mini-series?

You don’t have to be part of a multi-generational family business in order to care about your legacy. Whether you’re an employee, or a family business owner, there’s one thing you may have in common with Bill Davidson—you care about how your family is spoken of.

Being part of something your ancestors built is a pretty cool feeling regardless if it’s a plumbing business or a pharmaceutical company, but how someone depicts your family’s history can be nerve-wrecking, especially when such thing is done on national TV. One inaccurate scene, one wrong comment, and it could change the overall perspective of the company or family name to millions of people.

That’s why WISN 12 set out to interview Bill Davidson, who’s great-grandfather, along with two of his brothers and William Harley established the iconic motorcycle manufacturer, Harley-Davidson. In fact, it all started in a tiny shed with a hand-painted sign on a wooden door.

Bill goes on to explain how he felt about a dramatization of his family’s history, as well as what that’s done for business. I won’t spoil for it for you, so you have to watch the video!
