One Way Machine’s La Salle is a Modern Antique
The La Salle is an EVO-powered, award-winning custom bike that’s been been transformed into a striking, board track-era racing machine.
For this build, no detail was too tiny to overlook. The motor was plucked from a ’90s Sportster—Knucklehead rockers were swapped onto the modern mill— and Germany builder Julian von Oheimb of One Way Machine sourced a pristine pre-war frame.
Period parts and processes—check out the gorgeous speedo and brass bits!—were used to insure the vintage effect was evident on every inch of the La Salle. Looking over this bike, it’s almost impossible to fathom the amount of man hours which went into creating it. Obviously, all the ancient components had to be completely restored, and the number of custom-fabricated parts is simply staggering. From the controls, to the brakes, to the bodywork, you can see von Oheimb’s hand everywhere. Forget budgets—the only limit with this bike was his imagination.
