Sometimes, you have an idea in your head you just have to get out. It doesn’t matter how crazy it is, or how everyone says it won’t work, it just has to come out and be built. That’s really the story of this next chopper designed and built by Rudy Alba.

Starting off, the donor bike was a 1996 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail. Rudy then used one of the oddest groups of parts to build the chopper you see before you. A Drag Specialties tank for instance adorns the bike. It’s also been chopped and dropped to have huge rake. Other oddities on this custom motorcycle include an open primary and beautiful 80 spoke wheels.

Rudy’s motorcycle is really a labor of love. He’s had the bike since new, and has put over 60,000 miles on it. The bikes also gone through three different transformations before he finished it as you see before you. According to Rudy, when he builds a bike, he wants to add a little bit of his own uniqueness to them all. “I was the Cholo who was different in school, I hung out with my homies but I also played on the golf team while wearing my Pendleton and khakis. I was always a little different and have kept that uniqueness through all the lowriders and Harleys I’ve built over the years,” stated Rudy to Lowrider.

What’s clear is that this motorcycle represents Rudy perfectly, and just sitting back and staring at it, you can see his unique touches all around the Softail. Although, I’m not sure you can strictly call it just a Softail any longer.
