Wild Ones Vintage Motorcycle Rally at the Harley-Davidson Museum

Forties-style Harley motorcycle rally to include field games, live stunts, lots of food and beer, and much more.

Summer is only a couple of weeks away, which means tons of time to ride your Harley of choice, and lots of gatherings you can check out when not heading off on your own adventures.

One of those gatherings is set for Saturday, July 13, at Milwaukee’s Harley-Davidson Museum, which will host its Wild Ones: Vintage Motorcycle Rally from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The 1940s vintage motorcycle rally will have plenty to offer for Harley fans of all ages. For starters, the Victor McLaglen Motor Corps, whose exploits are a part of the museum’s Daredevils: A Century of Spine-Tingling Spectacles summer 2019 exhibit (set to open June 15), will perform their stunts that day.

Harley-Davidson Museum Entrance

If your Harley happens to come from before 1970, you can ride it in for the rally’s antique motorcycle show. Entry is $20, with all proceeds going to Make-A-Wish Wisconsin. Categories include stock and custom Knuckleheads, Sidevalves, and Panheads.

And speaking of Knuckleheads, the Wisconsin-based Knucklehead Company will host its 17th annual reunion at the rally. Meanwhile, the Badger Heritage Chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America will play a few field games with their Harleys, including plank rides, T-ball, and barrel races.

Should you happen to be in Milwaukee a couple of nights before, there will be a Wild Ones kickoff party on Thursday, July 11, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Harley-Davidson Museum, featuring live music, lots of cool Harleys, and lots of food and drink to enjoy. Both events are free to enter. The Harley-Davidson Museum is located at 400 West Canal Street in Milwaukee.
