BUILDUP: A 2007 Street Bob Street Tracker Build!
Sometimes builds don’t turn out how we expect. Maybe they feel right, but their looks are completely off. Or, rather, maybe they look great but you can’t come around to ride it once it’s finished.
Regardless of what exactly happened along the way, there’s no shame in getting something wrong. After all, the important thing is that the bike is right for you, so who cares if you have to go back and change a few things for the sake of comfort or looks?
Just recently, HDForums member, Mike, who is also known by his username mike13, found himself in a similar situation. He had been turning his 2007 Harley-Davidson Street Bob into an old school chopper, and was getting close to reaching his goal. However, there was one problem – he didn’t enjoy riding it anymore. So, just as anyone would, he went back to the drawing board!
He decided to go with a street tracker style build, given that his background was in sport bikes. He purchased what he needed and put the parts together, and got it exactly where he wanted it to be. The ride is a lot more fun, and that’s ultimately what matters.
