Bringing a Wrecked Harley-Davidson Street Glide Back to Life

HD Build

There are many types of builds that can take place when it comes to Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Firstly, and probably the most common type of build, are those who are working on their rides to simply improve them from their stock form.

They modify, paint, and change the ride to conform to what they want. Secondly, there are those who build up classic rides in order to rejuvenate them and bring them back to life, which is definitely an honorable task. Lastly, there are those out there who like to take a bike that has been wrecked and build it back up into what it once was.

HDForums member Jake (A.K.A. “heavywear“) is in the last group of people, having recently bought a wrecked Harley-Davidson Street Glide with only 13,000 miles on the clock so that he could bring it back to life. Along the way he is modifying it and changing it how he likes, and thankfully the build won’t be too hard since the damage — minor damage to the front fairing and the rear fender — was minimal.

Recently Jake put on a 21″ Performance Machine “Luxe” wheel, a wrap fender, stretched bag, and Billet floorboards. The build is progressing steadily, so go check out his build thread and show your support!
