Best of Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2016 Photo Gallery
The 76th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally has officially come to a close, and while we don’t have any official figures on visitor attendance, businesses and other local authorities have reported figures in the 350,000 and 400,000 people total.
It all started a week ago with concerts and parties throughout opening weekend, and followed with the mayor’s ride with the Boz Bros on a beautiful sunny day to Mount Rushmore and then back into town. While every year Sturgis brings something different for its loyal attendees, there is still a relative history and rhythm to “doing” Sturgis every year.
Whether it was your first Sturgis, or your 40th, the iconic rally isn’t for the faint-of-heart, and its considered one of the top items on a true biker’s bucket list. Some may say the rally has been come over-commercialized, and lots some of its charm due to everyone wanting “a piece of the pie,” but others seems to enjoy it just fine. In the end, you’re the judge.
