A Cherry 2005 Harley-Davidson Springer Classic Build
Sometimes things happen that prevent a project from ever being finished. These things can include sudden unemployment, family emergencies, health problems, and, sadly, death. It isn’t uncommon to hear about someone who passes away while their project; whether it be a motorcycle, a truck, or a trusty old car; is left unfinished. Still, these things don’t have to be all bad — in fact, oftentimes a family member or some other worthy soul with take the build on for themselves!
That’s what happened that led to HDForums member Aaron, otherwise known by the username “Otter,” taking on his most recent project; a Cherry 2005 Harley-Davidson Springer Classic. The previous owner had put a lot of time and effort into the bike before he passed away, resulting in a rather regular-looking Springer that actually contains a Screamin’ Eagle Stage IV 113″ Pro Kit, an updated crank, and a Screamin’ Eagle 6-speed. According to Aaron, the ride pulls harder than anything he’s ever ridden!
The bike is in great shape, and is definitely pretty powerful as it is. Still, Aaron is hoping to do a few things to make the bike his own, including changing out the handlebars, seat, exhaust, and more. He also plans to clean up some things, relocate a few parts, and powdercoat some areas of the ride. When all is said in done, he hopes his new Springer with achieve a bobber-ish look.
