Anyone here ever used a Jafrum helmet? These are DOT approved and are really inexpensive (around 24 to 28 dollars). I need a new helmet and just wanted to put this out there to see if anyone has or had a Jafrum. Thanks.

 

I bought a German DOT from Jafrum. It is the same type as what you see at bike shows and biker swap meets. It is OK, but I prefer my Shoei 3/4 RJ-Air.

I buy 6 helmet for resale in Thailand. I got bad luck in 1 helmet. Look like it not good assembly. And it broken at button for open helmet. But they have good service. They discount for that helmet.

 

If you want to deal with people that argue and refuse to return calls about your order, deal with Jafrum.

I got what I ordered -so far. Part is backordered, but they assure me it's coming.

Forget the part on their voice mail about returning calls within 4 business hours. I've been waiting - and calling back to remind them - for 3 days.

The helmet I got is O.K., but I'll go to a local shop or Wal Mart next time. They're easier to deal with.

I have one of Jafrum's helmets. It is OK behind a windshield, but not too good without. I forgot rule #1 when buying a helmet: Always try it on for fit, before you buy.

 

They are a local company to me and a friend went into thier office to attempt to buy a helmet, they had to be the bigest bunch of azzholes I have ever met, buyer beware some of thier so called DOT helmets are not DOT helmets.

 

Guys Jafrum half helmets are NOT DOT. I got one today. The quality was very poor and the foam padding inside was moving around. The outer shell is not ABS as they claim but some cheap flexible plastic that will not protect you. Compared to my real DOT helmet this one was a joke. It was light, but that’s because it’s a novelty helmet with a DOT sticker. I called them up and talked to some guy named Mohammed that I could barley understand. What jerks, they are putting people lives at risk.

 

Cheap helmets scare the hell outta me. I think I'd rather spend a few hun on a good helmet than risk whats left of my gray matter on a cheapy....
