Default 1975 xlch cam issue

I screwed up last night. I took my cam cover off and forgot to remove the bolt on the P2 cam. Needless to say when the cover came off the cam came with it.&nbsp\\; Can some one tell me the procedure&nbsp\\;to put it back so it's in time with the other cams. I do have a manual but its just not clear to me. The P3 and P4 cams are where they should be. I guess I can remove the P1 cam, put in the P2 thebn replace the P1.&nbsp\\; Any help would be appreciated.

Default RE: 1975 xlch cam issue

#2 cam has three timing marks on it, the cam is timed to #1 and #3 cam plus the pinion gear. The middle timing mark on #2 should go in at 6:00 and match the pinion gear timing mark at 12:00, then #1 cam and #3 cam timing marks align with corresponding marks on #2 cam. The #2 cam is the last cam to go in and it is frustrating the first time installing it so take your time and check your work....when your done all the timing marks should line up.
Good Luck
