Default Turn Signals

I have a 1983 Sportster XLX.&nbsp\\; I am looking for new turn signal buttons.&nbsp\\; The ones on the bike you have to hold down, I would like a switch.&nbsp\\; The local dealer said I need some sort of conversion kit but couldn't find one for me.&nbsp\\; Any ideas on this conversion kit and where I could find one?

For the idea on the conversion are they self cancelling switches? Personally I would go with new buttons/harness. If you have to hold them you won't forgot them and leave them on. I prefer hand signals but then my 70 ironhead has no signals except a rear brake light[X(] I replaced the entire harness/switches on my FLHTC before I sold it, about $100 and not difficult. It was nice because the housing was black and I replaced all black original sw's with chrome. Hermit

Go online &amp\\; check J&amp\\;P Cycle, V-Twin, Midwest Cycle, and others. Most of these catalogs have conversion kits for what you want to do.

Yes, I'd prefer self cancelling - it's too hard for me to hold down the turn signal and shift or brake.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; My hands just aren't big enough...&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; I have tried all those sites and can't find anything.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Maybe I just need to email them...&nbsp\\; Thanks!&nbsp\\;
