no low end power does not want to go but once you get going .runs good what could this be dont frist harley

try a compression check.&nbsp\\; low compression would cause the bike to have poor low-end power.

sitting for five years might have left the rings 'stuck' in the lands, and thus reducing compression.

it seems the simplest solution to try would be to ride th bike around and see if low end power starts to get better (if the rings get un-stuck).

After sitting for five years, I would want to clean/rebuild the carburetor and give it a full tune up, air filter, points, plugs, condenser, plug wires, new advance springs and lube the advance mechanism, change oil/filter, fresh gas, etc.

ifyou have strait drag pipes on it, that will cause low end poor power and performance.
