Hi guys. I have a chance to buy a 2006 Screamin' Eagle V-Rod with 1,700 miles on it for $17,500. It looks to be in perfect condition and it runs well. Is this a good price? The KBB value is $19,655 Retail and $15,100 Trade-In. In todays economy, I don't know how much to try and deal. The seller doesn't seem to really be pressed to sell the bike, but I don't want to pay to much either.
Thank you for your help.

IMHO For that amount of money I would consider a new V-Rod seeing how the engine is going to be the same 1250, Plus the new slipper clutch, larger Battery, larger Fuel Tank And a warranty to boot. Remember with the economic situation as it is, it's a buyers market out there and there are deals to be had.

I dont know man, I saw that bike back in 06 just before I bought my lowrider and it is one sweet bike. It was just too much coin for me then. Sounds like a good deal to me.
No, there are not any newer Screamin Eagle VRSCs but for the same price you'd have a new and not used bike with the before mentioned amenities.
I know what you are saying Easy, but I have a nice bike already and I'm not looking to replace it. I was interested in the V-Rod Screamin Eagle for a second bike. I think it is really a good looking ride. It was too pricely for me when it first came out in 2006. This bike looks like it just came off the showroom floor and only has 1,700 miles on it.
Mystic, if you think it's a good deal, then it's a good deal. SEs aren't easy to find. I know it's a 1250 engine, not sure if it has the CNC heads like the 05 did. ALSO has the 02-06 shotglass gas tank, good for about 80 miles on an SE. Good news is there are two after market tanks.

Hi Cody. I bought the 2006 SE V-Rod and I was wondering about the bigger gas tank. Just looking at it, I don't see much more room for a bigger tank and I was wondering how to tell if the original 3.7 gallon tank had already been replaced with the bigger aftermarket tank. Could you tell me a way to determine if it has been replaced? Also, if it hasn't been replaced, which tank do you recommend as a aftermarket tank?
congrats on the 06 SE...i have the same bike...i put a rick's aftermarket fuel tank on mine...it is a great mod....just look at the tank...you can tell if it is stock or not...my rick's tank fills up all of the gaps.....
