I've asked on the touring bike and exhaust forums but don't get much response, if any. I thought I'd give this forum a try. Does anyone know how loud or how well CFR slip-on mufflers work on baggers. I understand they are well known in V-rod circles, but no one seems to know about these slip-ons elsewhere.

For one I don't think Carry Faasis making them in house anymore. I also think they are only made for VR's from CFR. That dosen't mean you can't make em' fit. You'll have to fab up mounts. They are not very loud compared to drags but louder then SE's. Good luck if you decide to put them on an bagger. Love to see some pics when your finished!
I'm really new to the forum, but my new to me '03 has the CFR's on. To me they are definitely loud - are you kidding there are louder pipes? wow! I'm almost deaf as it is. [sm=yikesomg.gif]

I'm Happy to say the CFR slip-ons work great on baggers. I just had them installed on my 09 Road King Classic and they sound great. It's true that they aren't as obnoxiously loud as other slip-ons, but if thats what you're looking for, then these aren't for you. They do have a great deep powerful sound while idling and get alot of attention. They are smooth but deep on the road and drivers around you DO know youre there. These are exactly what i was looking for, so for my money it was worth it. They do look great on my bike as well so i'm very happy all the way round

I just bought a set (used) and mounted them on my 2009 Ultra Classic yesterday. Wow! I'm absolutely in love with the sound. Deep, throaty, and not too loud unless you rev the engine > 4,500 RPM. I don't regret dumping my Rineharts for them. It's night and day between the 2 sets.
They look very good too. I have one problem with them though. The chrome on the inside of one tip is brownish instead of shiny. The other tip is fine. I hope Cary Faas Racing stands behind their product and fixes the problem. The CFRs were bought new in March 2009 and have less than 1,000 miles.
