No thread jack here but I'm in the same boat, I want fishtails and a header but the only thing keeping me from it is the raspiness in the sound on deceleration. I have heard some non baffled and it's kinda hit and miss with the sound and rasp but when I ask the owners what set up they have they can't tell me, I had one guy tell me "I took it to a shop and they did it, I just ride it" My buddy has a deluxe and he has the baffles on and I like the way it sounds, but a little more rumble would be good. But in my opinion I think softails sound different than touring bikes.... What set up would give a deep tone with no rasp on decel or between shifts?
Thanks fellas!

I like the look of these, do you have a video of the bike accelerating? I'd like to hear that cause this is a damn good looking set up!

re: Fishtails
I don't have a Road King, but I do like the look of Fins on the exhaust pipes!

Without a doubt the "rocket" style as they are quoted to here. That is the true nostalgia look of the old FL "in my opinion only"
