Default Yaffe 10-inch Classic Bagger Apes on Batwing Tourers

Looking for current/previous owners with "installed" photos.

Also,
  • How wide are these bars, tip-to-tip?
  • What is the quality/workmanship on these bars?
  • Is the optional installation accessory kit worth it?
Are there other worthy 10-inch candidates that retain the look and hand position of the Yaffe Classic Bagger Apes?

Thanks, guys.

I'm in the middle of an install right now....got them for $95 on Dennis kirk. Quality is good. Got the chrome ones ..they actually are 12" bar. They will be really comfy when I'm done with them. They feel about as wide as sock bars ...I used my stock clutch cable routed outside the fairing looks OK and sure beats pullilung the pipes to get to the clutch cover. Stock wires I ran inside the bars and made it work inside the fairing. Brake cable is too short and now.need a.+4 it also looks like i can use.the fairing mirrors.

Can you measure the tip-to-tip width of your bars for me? Thanks.

I ordered a set of 10" PYO myself. Didn't realize there was a one piece top clamp available or needed. The 12" bars shown above look great.

Get the extended clutch cable now, and be done with it. You're telling yourself that running the clutch cable outside the fairing will look OK, but it will bug you later, and then you'll have to pull the fairing apart again, plus the exhaust and clutch cover. Do it once and do it right, you'll save time in the long run. Get a nice braided clutch cable to match your brake line and really show off your install.

Here ya go. 2013 Ultra with abs. My stock brake line was plently long enough but I went with a 6" over clutch cable. 4" over clutch cable would have probably worked fine.

I don't have a batwing, however, these OEM Monkey Bars are pretty nice; 35" across.

10" Paul Yaffee Monkey Bars on my Ultra Classic. Best thing I've done to this bike.
