Thanks for the information! I just called my dealer to set up an appointment and the service manager knew nothing about 0903. I'm waiting for a call back after he does some research.
We're heading to the dealer in just a few minutes. Printed out the Service bulletin. Let's see just how goood their "deer in the headlights" look is today! LOL!!!
I've got about 2200 on my FXDL and will probably wait until the 5k mile service before having this "upgrade" done. By that time, I'll have seen enough feedback from you beta testers.

Went by my dealer this morning they had no clue and said they would have to call me back they pulled my VIN and it showed recall but they didn't have the Bullentin yet! I'm making a 400 mile trip tomorrow hope nothing goes wrong because the dealer doesn't have it's act together. I'm just over 3,000 miles right now.
Have talked to a few dealers and they don't know about this safety campaign because they moitor their H-D dealer only website that gives the dealer information before the public. That way when we call the dealer should have answers to our questions. The latest safety campaign on that sight is 0901. Their is no info on their dealer only sight about this. HD mistake? YEP. HD has had alot of wristpin / rod evd issues in testing. Also as stated earlier "pinging" and detonation issues that have melted rear psitons on a couple occurances, NO major numbers. HD is trying to address the issues before it becomes an even bigger problem. Those with SERTS, PC's etc. should not be affected. Dealer can basically "sign off " on those bikes.
ok. My dealer called back. They have the download and installed it on one of their bikes. He said it worked fine. I'm heading to the dealer now so I should have something to say tonight. It's only in the high 50's today in PA so I doubt that I'll notice any great change.
By the way I'm one of the majority that are not having any noise issues with there 07. I really like my flhtcu. However I'm sure that this bike is running hotter and leaner than I'd prefer. D@m EPA is forcing HD to do this and we are the guinea pigs!! If I'm not satisfied with the results I will go with the PC111 but stay stock with everything else.
Went to the dealer this morning, talked to the Service Manager, he hadn't heard of it. They put my VIN in the computer and the recall came up. They seemed a little ticked, it was apparently released a week or so ago and they had received no info on it. They had the time today and did the fix for me (took 15 minutes). I rode it about 50 miles after and it seemed to run fine, I didn't notice any huge differences, I did a good mix of in town and highway (as much of a mix that 50 miles can be) and all appears fine.
