$8 rubber whip from pepboys, put it inside the fairing.
you may need to buy a cable adapter.

1.This is the Harley Part number for the hidden antenna.
2. Has anyone tried this out yet?
3. Any ideas for covering the mast mounts on the Tour Pack?

I used a chrome 'acorn' nut available at a hardware store. I also used a chrome hex nut below the acorn nut because the acorn nut didn't have deep enough threads. You could also trim the exisiting stud a little if you didn't want the additional hex nut.

If you can't find the metric nut size (M6x1) you need, just get 1/4-28's and run a metric tap through them. M6x1 & 1/4-28 are very close. That's what I did.

So you guys that are using the hidden antenna's in the fairing, you havent noticed a decline in reception? I'm considering the option but dont want to reduce my already "challenged" reception.

Very slight reduction in WB for me in some areas. FWIW, the moco part has a warning about this too. WB has always been fuzzy anyway. AM/FM no detectable change, but I haven't been out in the boonies yet.

You might consider keeping it all wired, and just go back to the tail whip on remote rides.

I picked up a powered antenna from a local car stereo shop. Looks the same as the HD one. Put it inside the fairing, plugged it in, grounded it and wired it to a switched power supply. I get as good or better reception than the stock whips even on the WB. Cost was $19.99, HD wanted $59.99 I think! Go figure.
