I have a 2010 SG and just bought a C&C solo w/ backrest and it's very comfortable. I'm considering a solo rack for the occasional trip and am wondering which rack fits with this seat? I see Motherwell has a couple but they mention fitting with a Corbin on the 6" rack and Lepera/Mustang on the 7" rack. Does anyone know what will work with this seat?

This is from harley. I don't know if the link will work or not. While it's not as stylish as a motherwell, You could actually put something on it and tie it down. I've got the same dilema as you, just haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet.

 

How does your C&C solo mount?Is there a bracket that mounts to the 2 bolts coming up through the fender and a tab that the seat bolts to,similar to my Danny Gray?I'm looking for a rack too.Motherwell said thet don't have a rack for my set up,but maybe they just haven't tried it.

 

2 thumbs up on the Harley solo luggage rack. Had one on my 2010 Road King and it works well (and it looks beefier than others, imho).

I like the HD solo rack,but you gotta buy the Quick Detatch mounts for it.

 

I bought a quick detachable tour pack rack from a forum member. Mounted a piece of plywood to the top of it, and painted the plywood black. The plywood is cut to size to fit a particular bag that I travel with. Works great, and looks pretty decent. When I get to my destination I remove the whole thing. That may be another option for you to think about since it will only be for occasional use.

 

I run a danny gray solo with a motherwell mustang rack. No issues, rack on fender seat bracket on rack.

Here's a pic of the Solo with the Motherwell carrier I had on mine. It worked just as well with the C&C solo I had.

 

Is this the 6"or 7" rack?
