Default quick detach tour-pak kit

Just ordered the quick detach tour-pak kit for my 09 ultra. Is there anything else I might need to install it? Special tools? Any help/tips would be appriciated.

Its pretty easy with a motorcycle jack.

I removed the back tire too do mine.

Torx, cresent and standard wrenches and you will be fine.

I just did my 05 this weekend, and the only tools I needed were allen wrenches , torx set and your everyday day socket set , it was a very easy job.

Just installed one on my 2010 Limited tonight, nice quality and directions. I like everything but the wiring. I'll be getting some Deutch connectors and relocating all my connections under the seat. Wish I could take credit for the idea but I got it from UltraKla$$ic. Here is a link to his thread.

Send it back and get the FBI detach kit, Much smoother lines when it's off all you add is two pins where your rear saddlebag support bolt are and your done. One star wrench and five minutes. Look I have it mounted on mine.

All you change is the top two bolts holding the saddlebag support on with these pins...takes five minutes. Comparison photo

This looks pretty slick! Did you get everything you needed from FBI or did you have to purchase any harley hardware? I can't find it on their site either - how much did you spend? Is your's a 2010? Thanks!

I'm not sure why they make it so hard to find on their site. Yes mine is a 2010 and all that you add to your bike is these pins, and the bracket for the trunk comes with it for $250. I found it in their catalog they sent me after I bought some other stuff. Call them and have them send you a catalog.
