Yep, I put a 160 E3 tire and 11" shocks which were not specific to this year bike and of course it bottomed out badly under load, took the shocks out asap but the damage was done. I now put a set of 12" shocks specific to this model/year and no bottoming out issues. Live & learn.

The harness includes the self adhesive conduit. If you look at my diagram, it has the pn# with an arrow pointing right to what you circled. Yes that is the 68772-06. This is what that harness consists of:

73191-96 RECEPTACLE, CONTACT, 20-16 GA (12)
73156-96BK RECEPTACLE, HSG, 6-POSITION SINGLE ROW
73158-96BK RECEPTACLE, HOUSING, 8-POSITION
70522-06A CONDUIT,SELF-ADHESIVE
10006 CABLE STRAP

Awesome Dawg, just what I was looking for ...much appreciated!
Can't believe this is only $19.40 guess I'll run out and order one ...pronto!
Sounds like a straightforward rainy day install once I remove the rear tire.

Many thanks guys!

Co sign on this.... I just put on the tri bar chrome fender cap and ran the harness from the light assy. up to the opening for the wire harness to the tail light. Made sure the wire harness was clear of the tire. All looked good so off I ride. @0 minutes later The tail lights, and brake lights are out. I get home check the fuses. Both blown. I start checking for loose wires. I check the newly installed wire harness, it's worn thru. I cut out the bad wire. splice in new wire, Put wires in flex conduit. And reroute the whole thing. So far no problems. Cost for fix about $8. bucks.

Sorry I didnt get back to you on the harness plugging into the tail light, been kinda busy lately. I'm glad you found a solution. I guess taking the tire off is easier than taking the fender off. When I did mine, I just pulled the fender.

No biggie! You took the fender off?!?! No way am I going there, I'll deal with the tire, man ..then as usual my "homemade", taped-up remedy is working perfectly!! Lights, all not a problem so it'll be one of those rainy week-end projects.

talk to 'ya laterzzz...

My fender comes off easy. Just 4 bolts and unplug the harness... You have a lot more to contend with than I do, so I would pull the wheel also.
