That's not exactly correct. That question was only asked 1,000 times last month. It was 1,400 the month before.

Anyway, I've felt your pain. I put the Road King High bars on my rkc and it's been comfy ever since. I've got an older EVO and the choices are limited, or at least that's what it looks like in the parts manuals. I think you will find that almost anything is better than stock, although the reviews on beach bars are kind of hot and cold. I did a lot of research before I got my bars.

Just saw your post on the Heritage Style bars with the HD set-back risers. How's that working out for you? Did you, or do you have any wire or cabling issues? What about the fork lock cover? What all did you have to replace to add the risers? Thanks!

I went with chrome Roadking high Bars 9" pullback and 9 1/2" rise. The Heritage only have a 5" pullback but have 12" rise. Some on the Fourm say the Heritage bars are uncomfortable. I like my RK High Bars. You can go on the Harley website and compare all of the HD bars in chart form.

I am using a set of 12" apes on mine. I am 5'10" also and these fit real well. Got the whole kit from Hill Country Customs.
Not to say anything against those Heritage bars they do look like they'd be comfortable but they just don't follow the lines of the bike and IMO don't look very nice.

I just put the Heritage style bars on my 08 RKC and wow what a difference. No more sore shoulders after a few hours of riding. They felt great right from the get go.

Good info. Can someone tell me the pullback and rise on the stock Road King bars. I would like to know that as a start prior to making any changes.

HD reduced reach RK bars. They are almost identical to the Heritage bars but can run the electrical wires though the bars for a cleaner look. Love mine.

Pre 2008 = 56152-04B
2008 & later = 56166-08

It is a very comfortable hand position for me and an inexpensive way to do it. I did not have to extend wiring or cables. the only cable issue was the clutch cable. I had to remove the loop clamp so that it could have more travel when turning to the right. I re-clamped it (or guided it so that it didn't catch on anything) by using some plastic tubing over a tie wrap that was looped up into the fork area. However, I am now looking to install a Carlini Bag Drag or Super Sweep so that I can hide the wiring and have a beefier look.

How tall are you and what is your sleeve length? I think you have just hit on the answer to my problem. I am 5' 9" with 33" sleeve and trying to get my RKC to fit me...
