My fuel gauge doesn't even move for the first 100 mile, then goes down 1/4 of tank in the next 50 miles, after that goes down 1/2 of tank in the next 25 miles, shortly there after the low fuel light goes on. I always start to plan my fuel stops when trip meter reads 150 miles, because I know I have 30 to 40 miles of fuel left. I have gone 209 miles on a tank of gas befor, and put 4.8 gallons of gas into my 5 gallon tank. Ah what was the question? ? Is my fuel gauge accurate NO.

when riding with my buddy that has a road star ...i just wait till he starts freakin out saying im about out of gas pull over get to a gas station.we get fuel he puts in 2- 6 dollars more than me every time,im leading he is behind........jap =fuel mileage ...lol
I never look at the fuel gauge. I just leave my odometer on range and when it gets to 10 miles left in it I know I can still easily go another 30. when I fill it up at zero miles it takes 5 gal in a 6 gal tank.
