Just Thursday I had an older driver pull out in front of me at a cross street. Stopped when he finally saw me. Would have squeaked it by him if he had just kept going ... . The engine guard took the brunt of the impact, bent it back into the floor board, still held the bike off my leg so I could slide out when all motion was over. I think highly of them now.

Default Engine guard

I'd sure be interested in buying a good used guard from an 09 or 10 tourer. An uninsured Florida deer bent mine during Biketoberfest.

Mine kept me from grinding my leg on the asphalt when I slid my Ultra this summer. That and the hard bag guards saved me some skin. I like 'em a lot.....

Now, why would I even consider doing that with an 825 pound bike!
