Here it is

NOW while I hate to admit that these are the best SOUNDING mufflers I have personally had on my bike, I recently bought some NEW slip ons. I bought a set of Kerker Slip Ons with tapered tips. Why pray tell did I do this? After much discussion with a few very skilled daily professional riders and a mechanic I have known for 20 years, I am trying these. They are used on a large metropolitan police agency's bikes (all 50 of them). These guys can pick and choose ANY exhaust they wanted and they have run these for years simply because they produce the exact amount of backpressure they require for their tuning purposes. I am not saying there are not other mufflers that will do this, but I know these do the trick. I was told when I get them to remove the baffle, take out the fiberglass packing and replace the baffle. I heard these on 05, 07 and 09 bikes and they sounded pretty good as well as produced great backpressure for tuning of these pretty much 'stock' 103 bikes. So when I get em next week I'll post a thread on here and we'll see. I have always picked a pipe for the sound quality , I am trying something different..I realize this will not be everybody's cup of tea, but I will try it. My aim is to get the new exhaust on and have a very thorough tune done with my Pro Tuner over 2 days at a Dyno shop in Fredericksburg, Va.
Below is a shot of how they look. They are available with a variety of endcaps. I got mine from Bart at Cateye Customs (shooter64) a HD Forum Sponsor and all around good guy!

I have V&H Fishtail slip ons with the quiet baffles in them and am very pleased with the sound. Definitely louder than stock but not ear splitting or deafening.

Keep in mind the sound you hear while riding your bike is never as satisfying as when you hear a Harley going down the road. I love the sound of my exhaust when I let my buddy take it for a ride more than when I am riding it.

Really appreciate you pointing out my ignorance.

BidDaddyMike, thanks for pointing out the Bub 7 exhaust, they sound nice. Going to Harley today with a bud and hang out for awhile like most have recommended.

V&H big radius slash cuts. Nice throaty sound and loud. I lost a little on the low end torque but not enough to really tell.

Also, exhaust sounds different with different helmets.

Guess you don't see them much on touring bikes...so far I have never seen anyone with a set other than myself. Joker Machine Slip-ons.
