that's the E/G Manual

and here's a "quick tune"

http://www.sscycle.com/modules/tuning/index.php

that also points out which is what ie the air/fuel screw, idle screw, accelerator pump, etc

actually, here's a somewhat better link to the same info with bigger pics

no problem, guys.

keep in mind that gaskets, seals, bad torque specs etc can also create these symptoms. Even pipes loose at the heads.

I left my pipes a little loose one time after some work and man oh MAN was I cracklin and poppin.

I've had my bike a year and I've learned to tune it decently. Still wish I had a pro for a friend, but oh well. Ain't payin for no dynamometer run that's for sure!

Well a bit of clockwise rotation to the accelerator pump adjustment screw, and a bit of leanning out the air fuel ratio took care of about 80% of the throttle lag (once she's warmed up sufficiently) Out (anti-clockwise made it worse, perhaps my S&S is polish??) But I'm hoping to get 96" jugs and pistons over the winter (that should bring me around 103" with my stroker kit) and whilst it's apart, ....

I'll have him replace every gasket and check every nook and cranny from top of the rocker boxes to the tail end of the tranny. ...
(^ sounds Dr. Suessish, no?, e.g.; "he even took their last can of who hash")

Hoping to have hime take all the painted items off and send them to a guy who quoted me a great rate that does great work, and get that done too (which hopefully selling the wifes sporty she wont ride, and the money from doing his website and store will cover) and I need a new tire on the back, Do I dare put a metzler on the back and keep the dunlop up front? (front tire has lots of wear left on it)

Yes, with all the money I've spent and am fixing to spend I could have a low milage used FLHTCUI, but this is my first harley, and I love her too much to think about parting with her.
