Question Squeeky Brakes, who's got em?

Love taking my 08 Ultra Classic out for a spin, wind on my bald head, the smell of freedom and it all comes to a screeching halt literally every time I apply the brakes.... The front regularly makes noise when stopping and frankly its kind of embarrassing. Now, I have notice that when I really get on the brakes and don't try to coast into a stop I can contain the noise. Oh, I am using factory pads and the noise started day one of ownership... Going to have myself a little winter project for sure but wanted to know in advance if anyone else is experiencing this problem.

Front brakes squeel on my 06 SG. You're right it is annoying and embarassing. One of these days I'll break down and get some new and different brand pads. I know this isn't the first time this has been brought up here.

I had front brake squeek on my '06 EGC AFTER I swapped out the stock pads for Lyndalls. I disassembled the front calipers and cleaned out the all of the excess brake dust and made sure that the anti-rattle spring moved freely. Problem solved.

Mine squeak but the stop really good, double sintered pads...i can deal with the squeak as long as the stopping power is there...I hear Lyndall are a bit better and may go to them next...

I put new front and rear pads on mine the first of September before we went to Panama City for Thunder Beach. No squeeks. Then go down there for a week and it starts. Since returning home, its almost gone so I don't worry about it but I am sure the salt/sand had something to do with it.

Mine are worse than ever....the dust is horrible especially on my white gold pearl paint. Wouldn't mind switching pads if I was sure it would work. Anyone done this and not seen an improvement?

Have not added Lyndalls to the 08 EGS yet but on the last 3 Bikes I have owned including my present 01 Sporty Lyndalls were a great improvement and keep the Wheels far cleaner as little dust created when stopping .. When need Pads will be Lyndall Z+..
