Default HELP!! Just purchased a '08 Classic and I can't get it to start

Hi
My '08 classic just got delivered today, bought it through Copart, it has slight damage, here is the problem, it has the smart securty, I do have the keys and fob but it still won't power anything up, the bike battery is charged and I did change the battery in the fob, but I have no way of knowing the pin number. Is there anyway of unhooking the system? any other ideas other than take it to the dealer? Thanks

Is the VIN number filed off the frame? Is somebody looking for their '08 Classic now?

Thats a good one, it is from the USA and made it into Canada so I will have to think it is legal.

If you have the owners manual, you can check it. There is a way to start the bike without the fob.......but if you ain't got the manual, good luck on figurin' out how to do it. Involves pressing the turn signal switches a certain amount of times on each side in sequence. See if you can find it. Oh, and you better hope the old owner didn't change the factory default, or it's off to the stealer to reset......good luck!

If it is a alarm issue the turn signals will be flashing when you you turn the key on. Otherwise you have something else going on.
