I do like that particular badge on your bike. A couple years ago there was a SG here on the forum with a similar badge...it also had some red trim on the bike and the badge really set it all off.

In your case no badge. Not because I'm a badge/ no badge guy, but because you're mixing periods. You're look is more of a modern hot rod look. The badge you're using is from the late 40's. If you were going for an old school look I'd say do it.
