I have seen several posts as to whether or not the se heavy breather is the best but I have a simpler question, what are the advantages and disadvantages? Is it hard to was for fear of water getting in? For taller riders, does it get in the way of your legs? Does more dust and contaminants get in? Let me know what you think. And yes I have looked through the threads looking for this info and have not found it yet.

I found a little fine dust in the intake tract when I last cleaned mine, so it might not filter as well as paper but I dont know.
I have ridden in heavy rain without the rain cover on and there were no issues with the engine performance. In hindsight I will always put the cover on in case the rain was responsible for washing some of that dust in.
My leg clears it just fine, no issues. I am 5'9".

My leg doesn't touch it normally, and I keep the rain sock in my bags just in case it rains. I got caught in the rain without it one time and it washed off all of the pink oil that's designed to catch the dust. Not a big deal to re-charge it though. I think getting it wet is possibly the reason the guy above me found dust inside of his. I don't think it's better or worse than any other high-volume air intake, it's just an issue of if it's what you like. I really can't say if it's got any advantages or disadvantages in comparison to any other high-flow intake, I just know that I haven't had any problems with mine and I love the way it looks.

King, what kind of cover do you have over your injector body? I think I like the idea of it being black and near invisible as opposed to the chrome ones.
That was just the one that came with the kit as far as I know. It is wrinkle black powdercoated.

Advantages is more air more power, Disadvantantages, oil out the breathers.

I have never had oil come out of the thing. The way the passages direct the oil mist to the top of the intake seems to work well.
