Goodyear motorcycle jack from Sam's Club for $70. I was pretty nervous using it at first but once I started to feel better about lifting it I wouldn't have a bike without one.
It also depends how much beer I drink ..rumor is beer muscles may work better

I have one of these on the bike http://www.wheeldock.com/prod_EZ.shtml
I leave it on it for storage in the garage but put a 3/8 piece of wood ( mdf ) under it the back wheel will spin.
Thanks everybody! Seems most think straps are not needed. I guess I'll either go with a red craftsman jack or see how inexpensively I can get a J&S shipped to Florida for. Great help! Bob
Hey all - I'm new to the forum and to my 09 Ultra and need some advise. Although I've been putting it off in favor of riding, soon it will be time to clean up my wheels. I'd like to hear from members who have discovered the best way to lift their touring bike so the wheels can be turned for easy cleaning. I don't want to spend a bunch. If you like using a jack, is it safe to lift your bike without straps, etc. Thanks for the help! Bob
You might want to check this out. Great jack for cleaning wheels and more.
